Ujj Nath is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Kaarya LLC.
For the automobile industry, Ujj advises manufacturers in optimizing the distribution of vehicles to dealers, and he works with dealers to develop innovative and intuitive aids that help them manage their new car inventories and parts & service operations.

With Kaarya capital, a subsidiary of Kaarya LLC, Ujj manages a cross-border M&A practice, facilitating funding, partnership and acquisition deals between the United States and India.

Ujj invests in innovative new companies, and serves on the boards of these companies post-acquisition. He is currently on the boards of USourceIT and FreshiFilms.

Ujj has 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur and executive, primarily as the President, CEO and Co-Founder of Syncata Corporation, a business consulting, and demand and supply chain management solutions firm with a 15-year track record serving the automotive industry. Founded in 1990, Syncata’s customer list included, among others, American Honda Motor Co., Ducati, Honda Financial Services, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Motorcycle Industry Council, Nissan Motor Co, North American Bus Industries, Roush Industries, Suzuki Motor, Toyota Financial Services, and Toyota Motor Sales. In this role, Ujj raised significant growth capital from JP Morgan Chase Capital and ABS Capital. In 2004 Ujj successfully negotiated the sale of his company to a division of ProQuest (NYSE: PQE). In 2005 the division was acquired by Snap-On Tools (NYSE:SNA).

In 1996, spotting the Indian outsourcing trend, Nath set up an Indian subsidiary for Syncata to take advantage of India’s lower cost, but educated, talent pool. At Snap-On, Ujj was the Regional Vice President with Snap-on Business Solutions in their Global Accounts organization and headed the Professional Services Organization for Snap-on Business Solutions.

Ujj started his first business in 1979 – manufacturing service parts for India's construction and mining equipment industry, after earning a BS in Metallurgy from the Institute of Technology B.H.U. in Varanasi, India. He successfully transitioned the business, in 1985, to professional management before coming to the United States to pursue a Masters in Business Administration from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to co-founding Syncata, Ujj worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert as an associate where he specialized in quantitative modeling and research for the corporate finance department

Gaurav Sharma is with Kaarya LLC a Management Consulting firm, where he is a Co-Founder and President. 

Prior to Kaarya, Gaurav was Global Accounts Director with Snap-on Business, responsible for managing the relationships with the Asian Automotive OEM accounts and other clients based in Southern California. These accounts included American Honda, American Suzuki, Hyundai North America, Kia Motors NA and Washington Mutual. His responsibilities as Global Accounts Director included business development, sales and delivery oversight. Projects that came under his direct oversight included the development of a strategy for sales planning and distribution, and an optimized vehicle allocation simulation study for, for the US operations of a large German Automotive OEM. With his background in the automotive industry, Gaurav also developed product roadmaps and business cases for software solutions relevant to Snap-on’s Business Lines.

Prior to Snap-on, Gaurav was the Director of Client Services at Syncata, a business consulting and demand/supply chain management firm, with a fifteen year track record serving the automotive industry. Gaurav spent close to 10 years at Syncata in several project delivery and sales roles. He managed client relationships at some of Syncata’s largest automotive accounts. In addition, he was instrumental in the successful delivery of several projects at these accounts. He designed, developed and implemented the Service Publication System and an e-commerce portal for American Honda Motor Co. Syncata won the American Honda Premier Partner Award for both of these projects. With his strong technology background, his project management capabilities and understanding of the automotive business domain, Gaurav was the Subject Matter Expert for Parts and Service systems and guided the product strategy for Snap-on in his role as Global Accounts Director.


William Fletcher

Bill Fletcher is a co-founder and Managing Director with Kaarya LLC, a Management Consulting Firm. 

Before joining Kaarya, Bill was Director of Global Projects for Snap-on Business Solutions’ Professional Services organization. In his position at Snap-on, Bill oversaw a variety of project for automotive clients. In the supply chain area, he defined the mathematical model for an optimization engine that assigned shipments of vehicles to dealers such that the inventory mix best fit observed changing demand. For a Japanese transmission manufacturer, he defined a bilingual (English/Japanese) quality management workbench that enables quality engineers to analyze trends in product failures, and identify root causes. As an extension to the workbench, he defined a life cycle analysis extension that applied statistical methods to failure trends, facilitating early detection of failures and root cause analysis.

In his role at Snap-on, Bill was also responsible for the definition solutions and proposals, primarily in the area of accessories and wholesale parts.

Prior to Snap-on, Bill was a Project Director at Syncata Corporation, a business consulting, and demand and supply chain management solutions firm with a fifteen-year track record serving the automotive industry. Syncata’s customer list includes, among others, American Honda Motor Co., Ducati, Honda Financial Services, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Motorcycle Industry Council, Nissan Motor Co, North American Bus Industries, Roush Industries, Suzuki Motor, Toyota Financial Services and Toyota Motor Sales Co.

As a member of the management team at Syncata, Bill played a key role in oversight of the solution definition and proposal process, project delivery, and in the definition and standardization of sales and delivery processes.

Bill has held a number of management and consulting positions. He has held the position of Director of Systems at the Los Angeles Times, and Vice President of Technical Facilities at Wells Fargo Bank. At the Los Angeles Times he was responsible for replacing their suite of core systems and operating infrastructure. At Wells Fargo Bank he was responsible for hardware and software planning and acquisition.

As lead consultant at the Bentley Group, a San Francisco management consulting firm, Bill consulted in merger planning at Blue Cross of California, Wire Transfer Systems specification and policy definition at First Interstate Bank, and systems lifecycle standardization at Security Pacific Bank.

Doug MacGlashan


Director, Global Business Development

Doug MacGlashan is the Director of Global Business Development for Kaarya LLC.

Prior to Kaarya, Doug was a Global Accounts Director with Snap-on Business Solutions. Focusing on Asian Automotive OEM accounts on the West Coast, including Toyota, Mazda, American Suzuki and Kia Motors NA, he was responsible for managing relationships, developing business, and overseeing all elements of project deliverables. OEM and dealership Electronic Parts & Accessory Catalogs, and the interoperability with Service and Diagnostic-related processes were the core focus of Doug’s daily activity.

Before his work at Snap-on, Doug worked for 14+ years at ITP, a private Japanese technical publication and marketing company responsible for much of Toyota’s Service & Parts content development and delivery. Doug’s many roles in the sole US facility, included serving as a business partner for all ITP clientele in order to meet OEM and Automotive Dealership Fixed Operation Parts & Service needs. It was with ITP that Doug learned, and since incorporated, many of the “Toyota Way” principles to guide and manage current client initiatives.

Doug’s extensive knowledge and understanding of the automotive business space, benefits OEM and Dealership clients, as he’s able to act as a very experienced Subject Matter Expert and consultatively provide unique insights and comprehensive solutions and strategies to meet their requirements.

Doug has a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science, from Cornell University in Ithaca NY and loves physical and mental challenges, enjoying cryptic puzzle solving and marathon running as two of his favorite hobbies.
